If you’ve ever had a cat, you might understand this.
Some cats don’t like it when people get too close too fast,
make loud noises, or touch them without warning.
My cat is like that.
She keeps her distance at first.
But the moment she feels, “This person is safe,”
she slowly comes closer, starts to relax,
and lets you touch places she never did before.
Watching her, I realized something.
I’m the same way.
When someone gets too close too quickly, I instinctively guard myself.
But when they ask gently,
“Is this okay”
it makes me feel safe, and I can open my heart naturally.
Being cautious doesn’t mean being cold.
It just means I take my time to truly see people.
That’s why I think
people who are good with cats
are probably good with me too.
